What's new
BVILDR 1.4.1 21 October 2026
New:
Review Agenda: review issues are now a full review workflow (Pro). Each issue has a threaded discussion with @mentions and attached viewpoints, an assignee, and dependencies on other issues. Reviews run as formal sessions (Preliminary / Critical / Customer / Hazard Walkthrough / Internal Peer Review) with entry and exit criteria, an attendance list, an action register and sign-off by named approvers. Export a BCF file for other review tools, an HTML report of the full record, a CSV action register, or a sealed, hashed archive of the whole session. Reachable from the VR hand panel too.
Cameras and a live picture-in-picture wall (Pro): place any number of camera markers around a scene, free-standing or rigidly attached to a part so they move with it, and put up to four on screen at once in a small monitor wall. Click a tile to jump the main view there.
Spotlights are now listed and selectable in the Hierarchy alongside models and scans, and can be placed at your current eye line as well as by clicking a surface.
Improved:
Dark is now the default look, with a single accent colour used consistently for selection and active tools across every panel.
The Point Cloud Mode toolbar button is hidden until a scan or point cloud is actually loaded.
Orbiting past straight up or down no longer stops there: keep dragging and the view spins all the way over the top, like a globe, instead of just horizontal orbit doing that.
Selected parts show an outline by default instead of a colour tint (Open menu > Panels still lets you choose either).
Fixed:
Orbiting could flicker or snap to a different view when dragging close to straight up or down.
After flipping the view upside down, right-clicking to orbit again could snap it back upright unexpectedly, before you'd even moved the mouse.
MeshBuilder
